Brooklynn

Brooklynn Chudy, 3, was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia on April 16, 2012. She had been sick with minor colds and fevers for a little over a year before I asked her doctor for a blood test and we found out the horrible news later that day. She receives treatment at St. Jude in Memphis. We are very fortunate to have such a wonderful place to go to.

Brooklynn had a set back in May 2012 when she developed an allergy to one of the chemo drugs she received. She had liver failure which also resulted in lung failure. Brooklynn is only the second child at St. Jude to have this happen with this drug. She was rushed to Le Bonheur Hospital in Memphis to receive treatment. She was in a medically induced coma and on paralytics for 11 days so her body could heal. Brooklynn fought hard and pulled through!

Brooklynn was in remission on June 12, 2012. She still has about 2 1/2 years of treatment left for the monster she is battling. Each moment with her is s blessing. She is our miracle and we thank God for her everyday!
